Odp: bittermann wants to join the state parliament

The ecological-democratic party wants to continue making a name for itself in bavarian state politics. After the strict smoking ban, which was her initiative, the party now plans to have the minister president directly elected in bavaria in the future. For the admission of a corresponding petition for a referendum, said odp district chairman thomas muller from burgkunstadt in the "schweizerhof" inn, signatures are collected.
In the next state elections in 2013, elections will still be held according to the old system. The odp nominated ehrenfried bittermann from stadtsteinach in the new wunsiedel-kulmbach district for the state parliament. The 53-year-old regional sales consultant, who is a member of the odp federal working group on genetic engineering and agriculture, advocates that much more emphasis be placed on sustainability and ecology in agriculture – even in conventionally managed farms. "The emphasis on growth is not good in agriculture. Sustainability is very important, especially for family businesses", he said. That’s why he wants to campaign for the EU’s "organic farming" label to be introduced is introduced in bavaria. The aim of the label, he said, was to produce nutritionally healthy food and to reduce the environmental impact caused by agricultural production. Furthermore, bittermann wants to commit herself to an ecological-social market economy in bavaria. To do this, the first thing to do is to restructure the demand of the economy.
Kulmbach members complained that in a local on the top floor of the "fritz-shopping center is still smoked. In the meantime, there is a clear ruling from upper bavaria that open spaces in covered shopping centers also fall under the smoking ban. Erwin schroder said that the city of kulmbach’s public order department had been approached about the matter. That is why it is incomprehensible that nothing has happened yet. "We will definitely follow up again in the new year, if nothing changes by then", schroder explained.
